Mastercard launches new crypto debit card in Europe with Mercuryo partnership

Mastercard has partnered with Mercuryo to introduce a new crypto debit card in Europe. This card allows users to spend over 40 different cryptocurrencies directly from their self-custodial wallets at more than 100 million merchants across the continent. Mercuryo, a European crypto payments infrastructure provider, processes transactions in euros to simplify the use of digital assets for everyday purchases. Unlike the recently launched Metamask card, which is limited to Metamask users and supports fewer cryptocurrencies, the Mercuryo card offers broader compatibility with various wallets and a wider range of digital currencies.

This initiative represents a significant advancement in integrating cryptocurrencies into traditional financial systems, enhancing their accessibility and usability for everyday transactions.
